Fulham vs Southampton Betting Tips

Fulham are winless in their last four matches in the Premier League but are just two points from safety.

Scott Parker’s side lost 2-0 to Manchester City before drawing 1-1 against Liverpool at Craven Cottage. That was then followed up with a 0-0 draw against Brighton before travelling to Newcastle last weekend.

Fulham took the lead thanks to a Matt Ritchie own goal but a Callum Wilson penalty ensured the Cottagers would draw a third consecutive game.

Southampton are hovering in and around the European places in the Premier League table after a strong start to the season.

They beat Brighton and Sheffield United before drawing 1-1 away to Arsenal before hosting Manchester City at St. Mary’s at the weekend.

Southampton were unlucky to lose 1-0 to Pep Guardiola’s side after a good performance at home. Raheem Sterling scored the only goal of the game in the 16th minute.

Fulham will be without defender Joachim Anderson due to suspension. Kenny Tete, Terrence Kongolo and Ivan Cavaleiro are all injured.

Southampton will assess the fitness of Danny Ings who is struggling with a knock, while Oriol Romeu will serve a one-game suspension.

Southampton have the slight upper hand with 29 wins compared to Fulham’s 22 in this fixture. There have also been 24 draws shared between the two. 

Fulham won the most recent meeting 1-0 in the League Cup in 2019.

Southampton have been one of the surprise packages in the Premier League this season and will be expecting to take the three points on offer.
